Short summary: While hanging out together, Judith loses track of how much wine she drinks, which means Nina will take care of her.
“Hey…Nina…”
“What is it?”
Judith lifts the wine bottle off the table and finds it terribly light. Oh, there’s no wine left in it. That’s not good. Judith is still thirsty, although she’s a little woozy too…
“How many glasses have we had…” she asks, needing some sort of reference. Is she drunk? Is she not drunk?
Nina laughs softly. “I’m too young to drink.”
“Ah…my bad…” That means Judith had consumed the whole bottle herself? She supposes she can be a bit of an indulger…she’s going to be feeling this in the morning isn’t she…
“You don’t really seem that young,” Judith says, leaning in closer to Nina. She doesn’t want to think about consequences. Besides, Nina is so pretty, she can’t help if she rather think about that fact instead, right? Beautiful smooth skin, long blue hair, prominent cheekbones…ethereal…
“You have that air, you know? And you take care of me so well…”
“Judith…”
Judith can’t tell if Nina is smiling at her fondly or in exasperation, but it is a smile and it is beautiful. Some part of her brain supplies that of course it would be since Nina is an actress and that’s how it is in their business, but another part says that Nina’s is especially beautiful because… Because Judith just likes it so much.
“Ah, wouldn’t it be nice…” If that was mine. “If you could always take care of me.”
“When you are drunk?” Nina laughs softly, and Judith feels as if the sounds have taken a physical form, tickling against her skin.
“I am drunk…” Nina says so, so it must be true. Judith flops her head down in Nina’s lap. “So take care of me…”
Then she can be selfish, right? She can ask for pampering, right? She can ask for this softness, this gentleness. The way that Nina’s lap buffers her head so gently but securely. The way that Nina’s fingers gently run across Judith’s face so softly but so warmly. It makes Judith want to purr…maybe she should become a cat so Nina could pet her more…wait where is her mind going with this thought…
Judith doesn’t know. Between soft murmurs of words she cannot decipher and soft touches she cannot accurately judge, she really doesn’t know anything. But this…this is all due to the wine, right? She’d like another sip, but if this continues that is fine too…
