Saki is giggling as she shows the orange leaf to Kotomi, the one apparently that was caught in her ponytail. Kotomi can’t help her furious blush. Just because they have become “special” together, it doesn’t mean Kotomi is used to Saki coming in so close and casually reaching over like it’s no big deal. She doesn’t hate it, but she just…
“I think I’ll keep this one to commemorate our first fall outing. Unless a better one gets stuck later on.”
“You’re ridiculous.”
Spending more time with Saki after the events of the endless Akihabara Sundays (which somehow the seven of them remembered, even if only vaguely) has made Kotomi realize just how cheesy Saki can be. Saki certainly has a different way of living life compared to Kotomi, and meeting in the middle can produce some interesting results. Like today, where they just go outside among the autumn leaves, because that’s something Kotomi has never done, and just…take the surrounding world in. Like children.
But Kotomi will admit, if only to herself, that acting like children is fine if it means Saki smiles and laughs like this. She could do that a little further away, though…
“Hey, over there is a roasted chestnuts stand! Let’s go!”
Kotomi’s protest is cut off by a tug on her hand and soon she and Saki are running. Even though the stand won’t close anytime soon and there isn’t even a line. Saki must be really hungry… This stupid woman and her appetite…!
But as their feet crunch over fallen leaves, Saki is radiant so… Kotomi will indulge Saki once more. Although if Saki would at least let go of Kotomi’s hand, then maybe Kotomi wouldn’t be so red-faced…
