“Ah, I’m so tired! So tired!”
Amagi enters his room with extra-long steps and flops face-down onto his bed. Oh, does he want to smother his face into his pillow once more. But this time he’s happy and relieved… His embarrassment after having that weird dream had felt endless. He knew the way he acted was troublesome to Takara and he had tried everything he could think of to cure it, from reducing his exposure to Takara’s face to asking Katori’s counsel to finding silly things to look at on his phone so he wouldn’t have to…think. But in the end Takara himself, even being partly the cause of the trouble, made it all better, and now Amagi isn’t “afraid”.
Although the idea that his hidden desires may have manifested the dream in the first place… Amagi can’t exactly forget the idea completely. If desires form the stuff that dreams are made of, at least those types of dreams, then… At some level he does want Takara to do…things…with him? He already had that thought when he talked with Katori. He has no experience in those things but he’s not unaware that…lovers do those types of things. But at the same time it’s just… It’s too much right now! That’s why it was scary and embarrassing and he’ll never, ever tell Takara the details of the dream! Even if he called Takara a pervert for something Takara didn’t actually do in reality…
But does he want Takara to do something like… Ah, no, no, no!
Amagi hugs the pillow tightly to his face. He reminds himself of the silly way they ran around on the roof, and how they walked home together with fingers entwined once more. He’s an idiot but these moments are precious to him and he’s so, so happy with this much…
He releases the pillow and sits back up. He’s all good right now! He’ll send Takara a funny message, play some phone games, have dinner and a bath and sleep really well tonight. And tomorrow, greet Takara with 100% of his energy!
That’s the stuff that his real dreams, those that come from his heart, are made of, right?
