Well, Takara swears he’ll never again make Amagi upset enough to cry. Because seeing Amagi closed-off is frustrating but Takara can tolerate it, but seeing Amagi closed-off and curled up because he’s hurting is like being stabbed repeatedly in the heart.
Takara knows he’s selfish, he’s greedy, he’s possessive. He knows he’s terrible at communicating that to someone as pure and self-unaware as Amagi. But still Takara can be better. He wants, he needs to be better. Because he wants to be with Amagi forever.
So he declares it to himself.
