Short summary: Asuka and Mitsuki take on some Greed together for the first time in a while.
"Two to go! Can you handle the one on the left?"
"Yes, Asuka!"
Mitsuki swings her staff, magic shooting out and hitting the small Greed that takes the shape of an overgrown lizard. Asuka, meanwhile, charges forward to battle the large fiery beast on the right. It's been a while since Mitsuki and Asuka have fought together in an Eclipse, mostly because Mitsuki has been occupied with meetings and administrative work. Asuka, meanwhile, has stayed active and, as always, looks stunning when she’s fighting. Although Mitsuki can't spend too much time admiring Asuka; she puts up a magical shield to block the lizard Greed's claws.
"Take that!"
Mitsuki steps back and swings her staff for a counterattack. It takes a minute and multiple swings of her staff to defeat the Greed, but it isn't too difficult overall. She had just wanted to keep the lizard Greed contained in order to give Asuka most of the field to deal with the charging fiery beast.
Asuka's speed, even without using her omega drive, is impressive on the battlefield. If one strong attack isn't enough, surely she inflicts death by a thousand cuts. Mitsuki too could contribute, except her chance evaporates once Asuka unleashes her EX skill.
"Criminal Brand!"
Mitsuki can't help but crack a small smile upon watching Asuka finish off the large Greed with her powered up ice attack. She's seen it hundreds of times but it's still cool, literally.
Upon confirming the beast Greed's vanquishment, Asuka takes a moment to catch her breath before looking for Mitsuki. "Mitsuki, are you holding up alright?"
"I'm fine." Mitsuki’s smile widens. "You're the one doing the heavy lifting."
The concern doesn't bother her; Asuka wants to keep Mitsuki in good condition because she loves Mitsuki, not because she doubts Mitsuki's skills.
"We have different strengths." Asuka smiles in return. "Well then, shall we continue forward? If we finish quickly here, we can still enjoy afternoon tea."
Mitsuki giggles. "I hope that is a sufficient reward."
She's already thinking about what to serve while following Asuka down the labyrinthine path. Of course, only using a small part of her mind. The rest is on the current situation. After all, relaxing with her lover is much better when neither person is hurt.
