Short summary: Seong-hui wants to share some wine but Saeko's had a rough day.
“So what’s on tap tonight?” Seong-hui asks as she catches Saeko standing in front of the kitchen cupboards, sliding her arms around Saeko’s waist loosely.
“Are you asking me to work even though I just got home?” Saeko grumbles but she still opens the cupboard doors and pulls out two wine glasses. “Slave driver.”
Seong-hui laughs. “Hmm, I think a 10-year-old vintage would work fine,” she whispers into Saeko’s ear as she reaches up to grab one of the bottles of red wine. “If that’s okay with you?”
Saeko sighs. “Whatever. I just need a drink now.”
Seong-hui places the bottle down on the counter and steps back, giving Saeko the space she needs to operate. A minute later, two full glasses of red wine are ready for drinking.
“I guess you really don’t have patience tonight,” Seong-hui comments. Saeko just glares back in response before downing half her glass. Oh, it must have been real bad at work tonight. Seong-hui gives Saeko an apologetic touch on her arm.
“It was real bad with the customers and the new girl, but…” Saeko sets her glass down and leans against Seong-hui. “Thankfully one of the other girls took over and I could come home.”
Seong-hui wraps an arm back around Saeko’s waist. “I’m glad too.” She grabs Saeko’s glass before leading them out of the kitchen area to the living area couch. She sets the glasses down on the coffee table before setting both of their bodies down on the couch.
“Let me rub your back a little?” Seong-hui suggests.
Saeko shrugs. “I might fall asleep but sure,” she replies.
“Good.” Seong-hui drinks a bit more of the 10-year-old vintage, savoring its strong taste. It’s too bad Saeko isn’t in the mood to enjoy it too, but, in terms of expenses, it wasn’t much at all. And at least she’s enjoying it.
She sits a little aways from Saeko so she has enough space to move her hands up and down Saeko’s back. Saeko makes small noises as Seong-hui’s hands find areas of tightness and rubs them a bit looser. It’s not the level of a massage but it still seems to help, enough for Saeko to turn around with a smile.
“Thanks, Seong-hui,” she says before leaning in for a kiss. It’s nothing more than a soft press of lips, and afterwards Saeko falls into Seong-hui’s arms, resting her head against Seong-hui’s left shoulder. “Let’s save more of that vintage for later though? When I’m more awake and can…”
But before Saeko finishes speaking, she drifts off. Seong-hui chuckles. “Alright.”
She does her best not to jostle Saeko too much as she moves the wine glasses safely away from the edge of the table. Then she returns her attention to the couch and the other occupant. She’s feeling a little too lazy to get up, not with Saeko laying against her so snug. Eventually if Saeko keeps sleeping they’ll need to move to a real bed, but for now Seong-hui indulges in this moment with Saeko, quiet and warm, decompressing from another long work day.
