Tonight the house is empty. The living space, the kitchen, the bed is empty.
Amoretta shivers even as she wraps another blanket around herself. It’s not from cold or sickness; even if her alchemic body could sense temperature or nature, the balmy spring weather would be considered perfect by basically anyone human. She was even fine earlier when at the performance hall practicing, or even on the walk home. It’s just… The quiet, the lack of another’s warmth and love.
The isolation she feels. Like suddenly there’s nothing, even though she’s technically not alone. She lives in a city with lots of people. She has neighbors: people, animals, plants. And Gaff is around, somewhere.
But she’s without Lillet for the next few weeks. When Amoretta had argued, pleaded, Lillet had listened but still firmly said no. And while Amoretta does understand Lillet decided this for her safety, it still… It still doesn’t make it easy.
I don’t like being alone. Lillet, come home soon.
Amoretta holds the blankets tighter around her body and thinks about her lover, missing her dearly.
