“Rena, come here!”
“What is it this time?”
“The rainbow! It’s so big!”
Rena sighs as Yuki drags her outside. Rena’s not too eager to go out when it literally stopped raining a minute ago, but the sun is already peaking out from behind the clouds, and up in the sky there is truly a large rainbow.
“It’s beautiful.”
Rena can’t help but say that, although she’s also half looking at the huge smile on Yuki’s face, which is as beautiful as the rainbow. Yuki being so energetic and happy is the best thing of this world, of this time they have together. Rena won’t count the times she’s seen Yuki smiling like this, because she doesn’t want to think that this might be the last one.
Instead she likes to think about these smiles like the rainbow that comes after the rain. Beautiful and precious every single time.
“Rena?”
Rena chuckles. “Everything is beautiful.”
Yuki cocks her head to the side, thinking on Rena’s words for a moment. Then she too starts laughing.
“You’re so cheesy, Rena.” She tightens her hold on Rena’s hand. “That’s why I like you.”
Rena squeezes back. “Yeah… Me too.”
