“I can buy these for myself you know,” Bambi mutters while the clerk rings up the purchases.
“But I have a discount.” Karen smiles as the clerk scans her card and the 30% discount is applied. “Treat me next time?” she says with her biggest puppy eyes.
Even if it’s unlikely Bambi will get the opportunity to treat Karen the next time they go clothes shopping, Bambi concedes. Instead Karen is blocked from paying for dinner because Bambi covers for both of them before Karen has a chance to open her wallet. Ah, well. Even if Karen wants to spoil her precious, wonderful girlfriend, she supposes that it’s fair that Bambi would want to do the same. After all, they both love each other, right?
