Nerine expects to hear "Welcome back" in Yuzuriha's warm voice, so the lack of a response immediately triggers Nerine's concern. At this time of day, Yuzuriha should already be home and either in the living room or in the kitchen. She does see Yuzuriha's shoes at the entrance and her slippers gone, so Yuzuriha is inside, but it does seem a little dark? Maybe Yuzuriha's in the bathroom?
