Short summary: A year later, Chidori and Erika visit the lake once more.
Is it a good or a bad choice to pick one of the hottest days of the year to make the trek to the lake? Erika isn't the one exerting effort, but she still feels sweat accumulating along her hairline and the back of her neck. Still Chidori pushes Erika's wheelchair on, and an hour or so later they reach the pier of the lake, where a small rowboat is still anchored. Erika remembers that boat, the one they took last year out on the lake around this time. There's no question that they'll row out to the middle of the lake once more. It's already cooler just being on the water, stripped down to underclothes. Erika plans to lie there once more and space out while looking up at the clear blue sky. She had thought Chidori would do the same, and certainly not jump out of the boat into the lake!
"Hey! What are you…why are you swimming?"
For Chidori is not just dipping herself in the water but paddling around in circles around the boat.
"Why not?" Chidori laughs. Erika does her best not to look at the way the wet clothes cling to Chidori's body, emphasizing the size of her breasts. "The water feels nice. Come on, at least dip your toes in."
"You're going to make the boat all wet." Erika grumbles but she does follow Chidori's suggestion. The water's coolness certainly helps to combat the heat from the summer sun. And when Chidori returns to the boat, all drenched, at least Erika will already be partially wet?
Well it is a hot summer day, too hot to do any thinking. Consequences can be dealt with later…after fun.
