Short summary: A moment between underclassmates reminds Mayuri of something Suoh did.
…What had just happened?
Suoh blinked a few times, wondering if it had all been a hallucination, but the noisiness of the hallway suggested the moment had been real. One girl had run down the hall, yelling her Amitie's name, waving a blue piece of cloth, saying that it was her Amitie's missing handkerchief. Except it was not a handkerchief but one of her underpants…
Suoh felt bad for both girls, but especially the one who had made the mistake. She turned to Mayuri and frowned when she saw that Mayuri was laughing.
"Why are you laughing?"
Mayuri covered her mouth with her left hand, suppressing her laughter. "It reminds me of that time in our room, when you mistook Rikka's undies—"
"Mayuri!" Suoh exclaimed, blushing. Oh, that had happened last year. Suoh had done pretty well to forget about it…
Mayuri chuckled softly. "It's one of my favorite memories." Suoh's frown deepened, then lessened as she felt Mayuri's right hand on her arm. "You've come a long way since then," Mayuri added with a smile.
"Still…"
"You were lovable already back then, but now you are even more lovable." Mayuri squeezed Suoh's arm. "It'll become a funny memory for the two, if they're like us."
"I suppose so."
Suoh didn't want to speculate too much on two girls who just started at St. Angraecum Academy. After all, she and Mayuri as well as their dynamic changed just within a few months of attending this school. But it could be nice…to have those girls also experience a blossom of love or at least friendship.
Because, despite all the ups and downs of the past year, coming to St. Angraecum Academy was the best decision Suoh made in all of her 15 years of living.
