Short summary: Chidori and Erika's fight cause a commotion in the hallway that others observe.
In a school where romantic relationships between two girls are not necessarily condoned but are not forbidden, there are two such relationships that are well-known among all the students. It doesn't help that they involve two of the most popular students at the school. One with the Council of Nicaea president, Suoh, and her former Mary-playing partner Mayuri. The other with the star ballet performer, Chidori, and her wheelchair-bound bookworm partner Erika.
It's the latter pair who is arguing in the hallway, causing a commotion that even shy new students look upon instead of rushing to their various activities. The conversation isn't loud enough for everyone to hear, except for the last line that Chidori shouts, which makes everyone flinch at its volume.
"Why are you so annoying?" she basically screams.
A hush falls over the crowd. Even Erika seems stunned. Then, with a huff, Chidori grabs onto the handles of Erika's wheelchair and pushes her past the crowd in the hallway, probably to continue whatever argument they started having somewhere more private.
A minute passes and then suddenly, everyone bursts into commentary.
"Surprised to hear those words from Chidori and not Erika."
"She must be really fed up with Erika's antics right now."
"I've never heard Chidori so loud!"
"Do you think they will be okay?"
"I had heard they didn't get along at all when they first met… Is that how it was like?"
At the end of the hall, one person does her best not to smile, because as a teacher she should not express her thoughts on this, but… It's funny, to think that a year ago she had to force those two to believe they were truly Amitie but now she has the utmost confidence that they'll be fine.
She just won't ask how they make up after this fight.
