Short summary: Ringo hears Ichigo's retelling and imagines herself in Ichigo's place...for now.
Sometime close to midnight the door opens and the tiny bit of light leaking from the hallway is enough for Ringo to see the jubilant expression on Ichigo's face, before Ichigo breaks into an excited breakdown of her date with Yuzuriha.
Ichigo is too distracted in her retelling to notice how Ringo closed her eyes and imagined herself in Ichigo's place. It wouldn't change the image from reality much at all, since Ichigo had gone, as always, pretending to be "Ringo."
"And she was like 'why are you so energetic' and I was like 'I gain energy just by being with you' and she was like "that's so sweet' and kissed me on the forehead! Ah, Yuzuriha is the best."
While it stings a bit to hear how much physical affection is exchanged between Ichigo and Yuzuriha, the more concerning part is the fact that Yuzuriha commented on "Ringo" being different. And yet, if Yuzuriha knows, she's not denouncing them outright. What does that mean? Is it Yuzuriha just indulging them, waiting until she has absolute proof, or…still hung up on Nerine?
But as long as this relationship, this "dream" continues, can Ringo really complain? She's still getting something that she wants, and so is Ichigo, and so is…
"Ringo?"
"Yeah, she really is."
