When Rikka rushes into the council room flustered and out of breath, even Chiaki can't help but raise an eyebrow. She is Rikka's biggest supporter, but Rikka is usually so punctual, on top of things here. Something must be wrong.
"Why are you late?" Chiaki thinks to herself as many potential reasons come to mind. Helping Shirahane with something or another. Talking to some teachers because of Shirahane. Grabbing something that Shirahane forgot. The thoughts all circle back to Shirahane, the one who undeservedly receives Rikka's love and sacrifice.
"Suoh, everyone, I apologize for my tardiness. I will not be late again."
