Short summary: Shura finally feels true happiness again after completing one of her biggest life dreams. If only she could share it with that person…

“Will you do the honors?”

Shura had made a simple request, for Riku, the future leader of the Blue, to be at her side when she cut the ribbon to signify the beginning.

Yes, the day had finally come, the day to celebrate the opening of the first girl’s school on Tenguu Island. Sure, the building was modest, not in any way comparable in size or sophistication to Nintoku University, and the incoming class would be less than 20 students. But the support was tremendous. Witnessing this event were her fellow leaders of the color classes as well as Akaza of the Kotowari…

And just as importantly, the most prominent of the first students of the school, Olympia of the White. She was here with a smile rivaling the brightness of the sun. It was no surprise that she, with her boundless energy, was the first to rush over to Shura once the ribbon was cut.

“Congratulations on opening the school!”

“Thank you, Olympia.”

Shura was used to ceremonies. She knew how to wear a smile even when she felt anything but joy. A smile not too small nor too big, fitting for a leader of the Blue. But for the first time in a long while, Shura smiled from the bottom of her heart. She smiled with actual feelings of gratitude, gratitude so full there was no space for resentment. She even showed such a smile to Lords Jigen and Douga, for once not trying to compete with them in dignity and stature.

I’ve done it.

She didn’t even bother to raise her fan to hide this wide smile. For there was no shame in reveling in a dream completed. When she had nothing else besides hatred in her heart for the world that hurt her, that gave her such a hideous husband and stole away her beloved…

If she could see it…

Suddenly long strands of purple hair obscured her vision, just for a moment… Yes, it was a hallucination. But deep in her heart, Shura wanted to believe that somehow…

Ayame…

If Ayame were here, she would be sharing the joy. And later, in private, the two of them would have held hands, and Shura would have kissed her in thanks but… Even just for a fleeting moment, to imagine…

This was only the beginning. Shura still needed to ensure the school properly educated the next generation of young women, so she must not think about joining her beloved Ayame yet. But she was one step closer to completing her true goal. And when they next met, whenever and wherever that would be, she could finally say…
