Short summary: Arashi comes to visit Kasane on the moon, and Kasane's place is messy.
“I’m surprised this place is so messy.”
Kasane feels a little embarrassed when she leads Arashi around her small room, motioning for Arashi to sit down on her bed. She knows that Arashi doesn’t care for the appearance, being the laziest person off the clock that Kasane knows.
“Well, we’ve been kind of busy and, uh…” Kasane finds herself looking away when Arashi just gives her a raised eyebrow. “I got so used to Kyoka cleaning up that I got a little too lax.”
Arashi laughs. “You got used to Kyoka cleaning. Of all people.”
“Yeah.” Kasane makes sure Kyoka focuses on cleaning first before she goes on any cooking adventures, but still Kasane supposes it is a little weird to take the risk. “It makes her happy.”
Arashi shakes her head. “Well, I’d never risk it. Feeling that sick again is… Love is weird.”
Kasane smiles sheepishly. “Yeah, I suppose so.” Up here on the moon, she’s not necessarily lonely, when Tsugumi is also here and now Arashi has come to visit, but still…
“Well, I can’t make a good Kyoka impression, but…”
It’s Kasane’s turn to raise an eyebrow when Arashi pulls out a 6-pack of canned soda. “You really brought that for me.”
“Well, soda is always good for cheering up. And hard to get up here, right?”
Kasane laughs. “I suppose so.”
She takes the offered can and sips out of it slowly. The sugar and carbonation don’t give her the same feelings as they do for Arashi, but it’s still nice to have that taste of…those times. And another reminder that things don’t really change, even when people are apart.
Kyoka, when you can finally join me here, I…
Kasane has some ideas of what she’ll want to say and do when Kyoka comes. But for now she’ll enjoy Arashi’s visit and make sure, when that time comes, there will be a space, in her life, right by her side.
