“Here.”
A cold bottle of lemonade is tapped lightly against her arm. Anna looks up from her sheet music and smiles.
“Thanks, Shin.”
“It’s no big deal.”
Bottle of lemonade now in hand, Anna laughs as Shin turns away, his cheeks tinted pink. When it’s just the two of them, he can be so direct and bold, but when there’s a crowd like their band here or the people at Meido no Hitsuji, he can be so shy. She loves both sides of Shin but this side is especially cute. It makes her want to be the bold one for once, so she grabs onto his arm before he can walk away.
“What is it, Anna?”
She slides her fingers up to his face and pulls it closer to hers. “Thank you for always looking out for me.”
“Anna?”
She presses her lips onto his before he can say more. It’s just a light touch but it’s enough to distract. When she pulls back, she enjoys his deepening blush while she takes a sip of lemonade.
“You just…”
It seems he needs another moment to process this. Of course Shin’s behavior does not go unnoticed.
“Aww, she made Shin blush! How cute!”
“Yeah, he’s always so cold except to our Princess! Hey, Shin, why don’t you give me a bottle too?”
“Shut up!”
Shin yells as the rest of the band laughs. Meanwhile Anna sips more lemonade as Shin reluctantly serves the others. She smiles.
Shin really is the best.
