Short summary: Totori receives a gift from Mimi.
“It’s for me?”
It’s not that Totori is surprised to be receiving something from Mimi when Mimi stops by her atelier after a few weeks of absence. It’s known far and wide that Totori, as an alchemist, will accept all types of interesting and rare materials. But to receive something handcrafted? Honestly Totori is more used to giving handcrafted items to other people. She wonders how long Mimi has been working on this bracelet.
“Of course it’s for you! Is there anyone else here?”
Totori giggles at Mimi’s flustered expression. She had only said that because she was surprised, but she can’t help but enjoy the pink on Mimi’s cheeks.
“Can you put it on me then?” Totori asks cutely. She thought about teasing Mimi more but she also just wants to be spoiled by Mimi. The latter feeling wins out.
Mimi sighs dramatically. Totori knows Mimi is inwardly relieved to have something to do and say to move past her embarrassment. So she isn’t offended by the huff, especially if it leads to the careful and gentle way Mimi secures the bracelet around Totori’s left wrist.
“There you go!” Mimi states loudly. “You’re so needy sometimes,” she comments, but she’s definitely smiling.
Totori smiles back. “Yes. That’s why I have you.”
When Mimi is flustered once again, this time Totori takes a different action. She brings her left hand to cup Mimi’s flushed face, then leans in. The bracelet presses against Mimi’s jaw as Totori angles Mimi’s face just right, so she can give Mimi a sweet kiss.
“Thank you, it’s lovely,” Totori says after pulling back. She admires her left wrist and the new bracelet that adorns it. The bracelet is indeed lovely, mixing together tiny red and purple and blue stones in a simple cord. “I love it.”
I love you, is what she means too. Mimi surely knows this, for she leans towards Totori and joins their lips together once more.
