Short summary: Scherza tells her they are going to the beach and to bring a swimsuit. Aria thinks it'll be one thing, but the reality ends up being pretty different. But still good in the end.
Aria isn’t sure what she expects when Scherza tells her that they’ll be going out to the beach and to bring a swimsuit the next day. Maybe she expects a completely relaxing day with just the two of them, sunbathing on beach chairs or splashing each other while waist-deep in the blue waters. She doesn’t expect anything like this, though.
First off, Aria is woken up in the morning by Melody because Scherza has apparently already begun her royal duties. After breakfast, the morning is spent modeling different swimsuits in front of Lyria and Melody’s eyes. Lyria derives a lot of fun teasing Aria and making Aria blush, while Melody does her best to keep Lyria in check to no avail. Then they have lunch but Scherza is still not around, still working. Aria wonders if perhaps she had misheard Scherza last night. Maybe instead of “we” she had said “she”? As in Aria would be going with Lyria to the beach?
The thought of not being able to spend the beach time with her queen and soon-to-be wife dampens Aria’s cheer considerably. She does eat all of her lunch but she doesn’t really taste it. She lets Lyria drag her whichever way, accepting whatever items Lyria wants her to hold, while Melody prepares for their teleportation.
“Ready, Melody?”
“In 3, 2, 1…”
Aria hears the words but doesn’t pay them much mind. She should have, because she’s not prepared for the spell, unbalances, and nearly falls flat on her face when they arrive.
In front of Scherza, who is waiting for them at the beach in a sexy pink bikini, and not expecting Aria to crash into her arms.
“Aria?”
“Ah, I’m sorry!”
Scherza sighs as she helps Aria right herself. “You were thinking about something unnecessary weren’t you?” she scolds gently, running her fingers down Aria’s forearms. Then she leans in for a quick kiss to Aria’s lips. “Get changed already. We don’t have that much time.”
Aria blinks. It’s already mid-afternoon. More than half the day has already passed.
“Come on, Aria! You don’t want all the effort from this morning to go to waste, do you?”
Ah, right. She should strip. She pulls off her blouse to reveal a white bikini top and shivers when she sees Scherza’s gaze fixate on the bare skin of her stomach. Even though they spend the nights together and Scherza has seen Aria’s naked form at least a hundred times, she looks at Aria like she’s still so…hungry…for more. And Aria will give it to her, once she removes this skirt…
“Aria…” Scherza breathes once Aria steps out of the skirt. “Definitely the right swimsuit on you.”
Those eyes are so intensely fixated on Aria that she feels her whole body is on fire. Aria’s sure she is red from head to toe. “Thanks,” she manages weakly, “but yours is…”
But she’s interrupted by Lyria. “Of course! I would never let her go wrong,” Lyria asserts.
“Did I ask you?” Scherza cuts back, sending Lyria a glare. She grabs onto Aria’s arm. “Come on, let’s go already.”
Aria is dragged into the water, the warm ocean water. There they certainly…play…in the water. And it’s not the type of play that Aria had dreamed about last night, but still…very fun and distracting. And if on the beach, Melody and Lyria end up making a sandcastle, leaving the two lovers alone for the next few hours…
The beach outing with Scherza (and Lyria and Melody) really is nothing like Aria would have imagined herself, but it turns out very nicely in the end. And when Aria learns that Scherza’s favorite part was Aria’s bikini…
